TANZANIA
In the Summer of 2019, I witnessed some of the most beautiful feats of nature and observed the behavior of various animals on a safari in Tanzania in what would be a hugely significant photography experience. I have always loved nature and animals; Going to the Singapore Zoo every weekend and violently flipping through the pages of my monthly subscription of NatGeo Kids magazine was what consumed my childhood. On this safari across the Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti, I discovered the unmatchable thrill of wildlife photography and seeing animals so up close. Not only did I love capturing the behaviors of animals on my camera, I also loved learning about them from our guide. It was so different to studying food chains and the consequences of migration from textbooks. This series of 44 photos is the result of the tedious and thoughtful sifting through, deletion and curation of a total of 3000 photos from this trip - which will always be remembered by me as the turning point of my passion for photography.
