A TAILOR'S JOURNEY

LOGLINE
After overcoming a traumatic journey as a Vietnamese refugee, Kim Pham now faces the reality of the American Dream and what would happen to her shop after she’s gone.
SYPNOPSIS
A Tailor’s Journey follows the life of Kim Pham, a fashion designer in Boston. In the late 1980s, she organized the transport of more than 400 refugees out of South Vietnam and started her business in America from scratch. Her fashion design shop has seen no end of obstacles, burning down in Boston’s Chinatown and making it as the only small business in Boston’s most high-end mall. Now, she faces a harsh reality as a mother and a wife. This story not only chronicles her tale of resilience, but explores what it means to be an immigrant, sacrifices you make for family, and the cost of the American Dream.
