PUBLICATIONS
Since my first semester of Freshman year at Boston University, I have been working for the independent student newspaper on campus, The Daily Free Press. Starting out as a staff photographer, I progressed to become an Associate Photo Editor, and will be Co-Photo Editor next Fall. The paper publishes digitally Sunday through Thursday and is printed and distributed for free across campus four times per semester. After a day of attending classes, the various editors of The Daily Free Press work tirelessly at night to publish timely, reliable, and important articles.
From the beginning of January to the end of April in 2021, I interned at an online Singaporean lifestyle publisher, The Smart Local. Across various social media platforms and sister companies, The Smart Local publishes things to do and eat in Singapore, local news, product recommendations and promotions, general lifestyle pieces, comedy videos and profile documentaries. I interned under the Creative Department, which shot photos for articles and made videos to be posted on Facebook. I was able to explore food and product photography, as well as learn videography.
